An hour of great music from the pre-punk/pre-disco seventies - otherwise known as 1970 to 1976 - for your listening pleasure on White Cliffs Radio. It's not all glitter and glam - if it comes in that time frame then it's on the show. Lots of a-sides, b-sides and album tracks - some familiar and some less so - from the great, the good and the long forgotten.

American country, rock & folk singer-songwriter Steve Earle is our "focus beam" artist this week. He's grounded in the roots which you can hear from his influences and contemporaries including Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Duane Eddy, Elvis Presley and Bruce Springsteen. Beth talks about his incredible and unique career and life as well as a couple of his tunes and one from his late son, Justin Townes Earle. Beth's Lightning Round returns this week with singer-songwriter (and Steve Earle fan), Sam Phelps and a track from him as well. Jammin' James Riley has an Eddie Cochran tune in Rockabilly Rewind and there's tracks from Mike & The Moonpies, Dallas Moore and The Shootouts too!

The S Factor
with Steve Wood
An hour of great music where variety comes as standard. It returns this month on White Cliffs Radio. The "S" Factor is a radio programme inspired by, but nothing like, the long running BBC show "Semprini Serenade". That show's tag line was "Old ones, new ones, loved ones, neglected ones". Records played on The "S" Factor fall into one or more of these categories. You might hear anything from Abba to Zoot Sims - a cappella to yodel - indie to outdie....
